This includes home, school, and travel to & fro. Security staff is present at the teachers’ accommodation 24/7 as well as on each campus. Security systems are continually assessed. Should you have any concerns regarding security don’t hesitate to ask for an on-the-ground. Painting an on-the-ground picture of what it looks like to live in Dhaka, Bangladesh is an important aspect.

Bangladesh is a nation like none other. Its vibrant colours, hospitable people, rich culture, and fast-paced nature provides many opportunities to experience life from a whole new perspective. Amongst it all, God is at work and it is experienced daily.

Bangladesh became an independent nation in 1971 after a nine-month war of independence with Pakistan. With a population of over 160 million people in a land area of only 144,000 square kilometres (55,598 square miles), Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated nations on earth. Since independence, Bangladesh has shown itself to be resilient and determined to create a better future.

Sightseeing

The countryside is beautiful. There are the rolling tea estates in the North and the golden beaches in the South. There are gentle farmlands and the thriving, chaotic metropolis of Dhaka. The crown of Bangladesh is the wonderful, humorous, welcoming Bangladeshi people.
